“If you’re like me, you crave a slower-paced life…”

I love slowing down to enjoy the beauty around me. I’m okay with most of my beliefs being counter-cultural. I love a clean and beautiful home. I love spending time with my family and my dog, Mr. Darcy. I love nachos, french fries, a well seasoned steak, and delicious salads. I love a good before and after. I love reading the Bible and deepening my relationship with God. I love ice cream, date nights, and watching movies poolside. I love watching birds do their thing. I am excited to learn more about growing fruits and veggies. I’m addicted to persimmons. I don’t like going anywhere without chapstick and sunglasses. I have a sensitive soul. I pray for others often. I make myself laugh a lot because I think I’m hilarious. I have prankster tendencies. I love spending 1:1 time with my hubby. I love seeing God work in my family. I try to be intentional, devoted, disciplined. I’m probably too passionate about a few things. I’m studying French and hope to be close to fluent one day…

For a while now, I’ve been slowing down and exploring the rhythms of grace that God has designed our lives to be. I’ve been evaluating my heart and comparing it to what Scripture says it should be. The past few years have been pretty challenging, but in those dark times, I have always seen God show up, ease my burdens, offer to carry me when I was weak, and honestly, He’s done miraculous things that I never could have done.

The Slower Life is about creating margin in our lives and schedules. It’s about getting rid of the distractions and clutter that hinder us from hearing from God. It’s about intentional living, dedication, practicing spiritual disciplines, grace, courage, strength, and peace. It’s about celebrating our God-given creativity, seeing His good and His purpose in all we do. It’s about belonging.

The Slower Life is about leaning in to a simpler, lighter, freer way of living a life devoted to loving God and loving others. We’ve made room for you; will you join us?
